Beverley Knight celebrates her 50th birthday with the release of her new album ‘The Fifth Chapter’ 2023

Beverley Knight will celebrate her 50th birthday with the publication of ‘The Fifth Chapter’ by Tag8/BMG on September 29, 2023.

Knight collaborates on the album with composers Diane Warren, Seb Coe, Ollie Green, and Andrew Roachford, as well as producers Jimmy Hogarth, AC Burrell, Mitch Allen, and Josh Cohen/DJ Waldie. Knight’s ‘The Fifth Chapter’ is his first new album in seven years.

Knight says, “My new album is a kaleidoscope of my soul influences, ranging from disco, R&B, funk, gospel, northern soul, and big ballads.” Maintaining a dual profession in acting necessitated that, for the first time, I allow some of the finest songwriters in the world to pen my lyrics. This album is the result of an extraordinary collaborative effort, for which I am extremely grateful.

This album’s main single, ‘Last One On My Mind,’ is a contemporary soul/pop track. Knight observes that “Last One On My Mind” is a sassy, no-nonsense song with a strong reference to modern disco. “It’s about reclaiming your power from an ex-lover and striding confidently into the future. It penetrates and remains within you.”

Knight will support the album with his largest UK tour to date. In October and November, she will perform 20 headline dates across the United Kingdom.
