On Instagram, Johnny Depp and Hollywood Vampires announced a “painful” ankle injury. Depp stated he was told to avoid “all activity for the moment” on Instagram Stories.
“It started as a hairline break but worsened between Cannes and Royal Albert Hall. “Several medical professionals have strongly suggested I avoid all activity for the moment and so am sadly unable to travel at this time,” the actor-musician stated.
Hollywood Vampires, Depp’s rock band with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, will reschedule the next three US tour dates and honor all tickets.
Before his Hollywood Vampires show, Johnny Depp injures his ankle.
“Johny’s doctor advised him not to travel after his recent appearances due to a painful ankle injury. “He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so all four vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe,” the statement continued.
The May 30, 31, and June 1 performances have been moved to July 28, 29, and 30. Boston, Manchester, and Bethel, New York will host the group.
Depp promoted “Jeanne du Barry,” his first film after winning a high-profile defamation battle against ex-wife Amber Heard, during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
