71799 NINJAGO City Markets, a new modular building coming in a few weeks, is shown here adjacent to 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens.
71799 NINJAGO City Markets, the largest LEGO NINJAGO set ever at 6,163 pieces, debuted on June 1 with the rest of the summer 2023 wave. It’s another ninja fan’s paradise with 21 minifigures, including some NINJAGO deep cuts.
Being the fourth LEGO NINJAGO modular building since 70620 NINJAGO City launched in 2017 helps.
Since then, 70657 NINJAGO City Docks and 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens have entered the fray. The latter, which arrived in 2021, is still available at LEGO.com and LEGO Stores.
The LEGO Group released an image of its most current and upcoming NINJAGO modulars along alongside the debut of 71799 NINJAGO City Markets. The results are as eclectic and colorful as you’d expect. 71799 NINJAGO City Markets is wider than 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens but not as tall.
71799 NINJAGO City Markets spans 64 studs (51cm) across two 32×32-stud baseplates. It appears to be taller than 70657 NINJAGO City Docks, which should improve the flow between all four buildings when placed in the range. 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens might also be on the other side of the marketplace.
The LEGO Group hasn’t released any photographs of 71799 NINJAGO City Markets alongside 70620 NINJAGO City or 70657 NINJAGO City Docks, so we’ll have to wait to see how it compares. However, its Modular Buildings Collection lifestyle photos only show new sets with different models.
71799 NINJAGO City Markets debuts June 1 in VIP early access for £319.99 / $369.99 / €369.99. View the model here.
